Steps
- Install the extension. Add Sam Soft Privacy Shield to Chrome — it's free.
- Set a master password. On first run you'll create one. This is the key that locks and unlocks your whole browser.
- Turn on auto-lock. In Settings, choose a timer from 5 minutes to 5 hours so it locks automatically when you're away.
- Use panic lock. Hit Ctrl+Shift+L to lock instantly. Unlock and your exact tabs come back.
Great for shared computers, office desks, libraries, and anyone who values what's in their tabs. Your master password is stored only as a PBKDF2 hash (600,000 iterations) — never in plain text.
